Studying Abroad

During my four weeks studying abroad in Florence, Italy, I had the chance to dive into the incredible history and culture of the region while studying the design and significance of Italian gardens. Walking through these beautifully designed landscapes gave me a deeper appreciation for the stories behind them.

Outside of class, I embraced everything Florence had to offer. I took cooking classes, where I learned how to make fresh pasta, authentic sauces, and even classic tiramisu. Seeing how much heart and tradition goes into Italian cooking was amazing. From wandering through the busy markets to indulging in gelato at Florence’s best spots, I truly soaked in the local lifestyle.

I also explored beyond Florence, traveling to places like Nice, France, Monte Carlo, and the Amalfi Coast. Each destination offered its unique charm—whether it was enjoying delicate pastries in Nice, or simply taking in the breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. Every moment was perfect.

Overall, this experience was more than just about academics. It was about personal growth, connection, and experiencing the world in a new way. It’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
